Julia as a Performer

Julia is a natural communicator and always addresses her audience. She has had many standing ovations, which is testimony to her ability as a virtuoso violinist.

After most concerts, a long queue forms of people wanting to buy her CD and have their CD or program signed, which she does, thanking each person individually with charm.

When Julia won the Two Moors Competition in October 2007 her adjudicators wrote:

"You gave a confident and well-prepared introduction and presented yourself charmingly. You are a natural performer, who thoroughly enjoys her music and this feeling is projected wonderfully to the audience. Well done"

"There are few young musicians who understand the process of concerto performance. For me Julia is an exception, leading and following in equal measure whilst maintaining an architecture and flow rare in one so young. From a conductor's perspective, she's a joy to accompany."

Written by conductor Andrew Morley, following Julia's debut performance in London on 19th December 2008 with the St. Paul's Sinfonia.
