Julia's Abilities
Julia is exceptionally talented, and her talents extend beyond violin playing. Her english is impeccable, and she was fluent within three years of arriving from Korea. She spends much of her leisure time reading novels and has a particular interest in Shakespeare sonnets. She is also writing her second mythical novel… on chapter 4, in August 2008.

Her abilities extend over all academic subjects. In 2008 she won the prize for being the top performing academic scholar in Clifton College Preparatory School. Somehow Julia manages to be on top of this in addition to her music career…. presumably with less effort than most.

Another of Julia's talents and interests is art. In her spare time she draws astonishingly accurate sketches from sight, memory or imagination. She is also a cartoonist, a painter, and makes creative decorative arts. Julia likes to attend art classes when on holiday, and at school she has been asked to enter for an art scholarship in addition to her music and academic scholarships.

In order to safeguard her hands, Julia avoids racket and ball sports. However, she does enjoy swimming. Indeed, she has a great deal of talent here also and represents Clifton College in the IAPS Swimming Tournaments, which is the national league of preparatory schools. In Korea, she was also a keen ice-skater.

Julia's career as a musician is assisted by what her teacher describes as a photographic memory, enabling her to play music by heart in a very short period of time. Julia also has grade 7 in piano.
